Printer Inks

Can anyone, please, explain the difference between 'compatibles' and re-manufactured' inks?

Would you ever use either of them?

I am still using originals in my Epson - but send to Guernsey for them as they are cheaper there.

Re: Printer Inks

Remanufactured—or recycled—printer cartridges are sent to a manufacturer who will restock the ink and replace or repair any parts that are damaged or not working correctly. Once the cartridge has been restored back to its original form a quality test is performed on each cartridge. Generally, remanufactured ink cartridges are copyrighted and cannot be replicated by another manufacturer.

Compatibles.

This is a brand new cartridge made by a third-party manufacturer. They have no affiliation with the original manufacturers of the printer, and the cartridges have not been used before.

Ive used compatibles, and they were ok, though long term cant be sure if they will fade or not.

Re: Printer Inks

Thanks for that, Nom. I have often wondered.
