"Crocodile" Dundee (1986) 19:05-21:00 Tue 9th Jun 2020 110m Film4

Director Peter Faiman

Starring Paul Hogan, Linda Kozlowski, John Meillon, David Gulpilil, Mark Blum

When a New York reporter (Linda Kozlowski) plucks crocodile hunter Dundee (Paul Hogan) from the Australian Outback for a visit to the Big Apple, it's a clash of cultures and a recipe for good-natured comedy as naïve Dundee negotiates the concrete jungle. Dundee proves that his instincts are quite useful in the city and adeptly handles everything from wily muggers to high-society snoots without breaking a sweat. Hogan's script earned an Oscar nod.
Not a great film (too many clichés) but a very amiable one, with some classic scenes and memorable quotes:

Sue Charlton: That croc was going to eat me alive.

Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee: Well, I wouldn't hold that against him. Same thought crossed my mind once or twice."

I don't watch that any more as they have censored it by cutting out `non-PC` footage.

He's certainly a crap actor. When his character is required to say something in his films, he looks to one side, either reading the script (as Tony Hancock used to do) or maybe trying to remember his lines.
