No nor me Tabby.
I know the Victorians took photos of deceased people.

Re: In bad taste.

Another thing people do today although this isnt t so bad is to send flowers to a cemetery by delivery service .
The flowers are taken to the grave the delivery person takes a picture of the. To send to the client presumably .
Good for people who live a long way or overseas.

Re: In bad taste.

An uncle took a photo of his brother being lowered into the grave and then gave the photo to his brother's wife. This went down like a lead balloon. At my father's funeral he was about to do the same thing, my sister snatched his camera off him before he could do!

Re: In bad taste.

I was just trying to think if we had any photoes at all of funerals we've had to attend and the answer was no. We did go back next day to take pictures of flowers sent to my mil mainly so we had a record of who had sent them and could write our thank you letters to the right people. I think we were just too grief stricken at tashas to even dress ourselves let alone worry about taking pictures.

I have no wish to ever attend another funeral if I can avoid it. I have no interest in the dead, only in how they were in life.

If someone has lived a full life, not died prematurely, then their funeral should be a celebration of that life. I'm all for a gathering of friends & family making a party of it, exchanging anecdotes even playing the deceased kind of music (the gentle stuff).
