If someone has lived a full life, not died prematurely, then their funeral should be a celebration of that life. I'm all for a gathering of friends & family making a party of it, exchanging anecdotes even playing the deceased kind of music (the gentle stuff).
Well I wouldn't be there. If my husband ends up a corpse before I do, I shall instruct the undertaker to remove his body to the crem and have it burned up, end of story. He would do me the same curtesy if I go first.
