Exactly. It's our desire for more, more, more, and as cheap as possible, that is driving the engine.

It is the sensible and informed opinion of Attenborough and his ilk - basically, practically the whole of the scientific community on the planet - that Donald Trump dismisses as "fake news".

Who to believe? The idiot in the White House, with his fake tan, fake hair, fake wife, fake everything - or Attenborough & co.?

No contest, I think.

Attenborough is a dramatist, but when you put it like that, then yes ... no contest.

According to David Attenborough 8% of ALL species on earth are at risk now because of climate change ..
The loss of any species means a gap the eco system .

The future is truly terrifying .
Our weather systems are changing .
The ice caps are melting .
Fires storms flood and devastation .

Perhaps we are coming to the end of days.

The rising sea level cannot be denied .
In parts of Louisiana they are losing land at the rate of a football field every 45 MINUTES.

While there are four causes of sea level rise in Louisiana, land sinkage is the main contributor. Recent studies have shown that Louisiana is losing approximately a football field of land every hour, which makes the state particularly vulnerable to an increased rate of sea level rise in the future.

Sea level rise is fastest along the East Coast and the Gulf Coast, where the land is sinking by one inch every five to ten years. In contrast, the land in Alaska is rising at a speed of over an inch every three years, so sea level rise is slower. Most coastal towns fall somewhere in between, with slight land sinkage.

Sir David Attenborough while undeniably a national treasure is first and foremost a broadcaster. He has a degree in natural science but has never worked as a scientist.

It's not just David's Attenborough it's the top scientists of the world .
By the end of the century our planet will be between 3 and 6 degrees hotter .
Therefore the sea level will continue to rise .
And we will lose our coastal cities .
Look at London .
Already they have to use the Thames barrier far more than they ever thought .

Greenhouse gases
If the Artic melts down it will be a disaster .
As the permsfrost melts it releases methane gas which goes up into the atmosphere and adds to the greenhouse gases .
Already we see the effects of the polar meltdown in the form of starving polar bears who have no ice to hunt on .

True - but that is no reason to be complacent, especially when it is not Attenborough alone that is making warning noises.

He is the broadcasting mouthpiece for pretty much every qualified scientist that has looked into this matter.
