This subject reminds me of the time l attended a courtcase in Algeria concrning my brother, who was under threat
of a death sentence! And halfway through the proceedings
in court l needed the loo, on eventually finding the facility
I was dismayed to find there was no sign of paper! Just
an old baked bean can with water in it and a peice of wet
rag? I might add the loo itself was not up to my usual
standards either!
On completion of my business on the toilet l then had to
make an important decision what to do?
Fortunately l had been supplied with by the British consul
with a thick wad of Algerian Dinars! which seemed of an
adequate size for the job in hand! Problem solved!
Later l realised l had put myself at considerable risk due to
the fact that the presidents face was on the notes!
What a laugh?
