First Communion.
HiMy pretendies are Polish Catholics.
It is a big Tradition in Poland, a right of passage.
Like their Mum and Dad, I was also raised as a Catholic, but, like them, have very different views about contraception, abortion, same sex marriage etc.
Two weeks to go before the big event and everyone coming across from Poland.
It will be great fun.

Swimmy, Making your First Communion these days, seems to be a big social thing.I still have a pic of me on my First Communion day! I look like a mini bride!
My First Communion was held on Corpus Christi at the beginning of June.
Afterwards, we had a breakfast and then we were taken by coach to Wicksteed Park. I loved going on the mini train there. There were no big scary rides in those days!
It will be a wonderful, happy day for you all.

I can remember the photos of mine, but long gone now.
The Polish Littlies are arriving the day before and staying at my house.
I have orders for Ice Cream for Breakfast.
Great Fun.
They are here for 8 days, it will be manic.

Here is my very tatty pic. I look like the boxer, Joe Bugner with that big chin!Look at the state of my white sandals! I have a feeling this pic was taken on another day after and not on my First Communion day.
ST, l do have a a booklet somewhere about my First Communion Day but l’m not sure if it was signed by the priest?

Yeah Tabs, I remember getting a medal and a booklet but I've no idea what happened to them.
