Re: Sunday Good Morning

Good morning everyone a dull start to the day and it's trying to rain.

I had a lovely day with my 7 year old grandaughter yesterday, we played all her favourite games most of them twice.

I have an intermittent itchy rash which is driving me mad so I am heading for a long shower and an ice pack . Not sure if it is something I ate or the heat . Antihistamine tablets have a strange effect on my these days making me feel intoxicated so I am reluctant to take them with the cocktail of medication I already take.

Enjoy your day

My daughter in law was inconsolable...we know so far that she has multiple tumours on her spine but obviously we need more information....we have to wait till Monday to find out more....honest it's a nightmare for them and you feel so helpless.....I'm furious to say the least but what can you do?

Ok sorry for being a grump...truly I hope you have a good day all.
Summer that sounds an awful situation to be in, I hope your DIL gets to speak to the consultant early on Monday.

Re: Sunday Good Morning

Good morning all warm but cloudy here.

It was so warm last night even with the windows open and I had a restless sleep, getting up just after 3:00am to try to cool off.

Had a lovely day out in Weston yesterday, a perfect summer’s day. The place was humming with holiday makers and one day visitors, children having fun on the beach and ice cream sales flourishing

Enjoy you day folks

Summer, I’m so sorry to hear about your DIL, the Consultant not turning up or giving a valid reason for his absence is unforgivable and adds to the worry you are all going through. I hope he is able to see your DIL on Monday.

Re: Sunday Good Morning

Good morning from ‘out in the rural sticks’ to you all!

Grey skies strangely but very warm here and already humid. This may be the last day of really hot weather as it’s forecast to cool down as from Monday, thank goodness!

Far too hot and humid to work out in the garden yesterday, maybe today will allow some work outside as it’s a shame to waste this good weather. The usual problem though is that the humidity forbids doing too much physical work, it’s just too much!

Enjoy your day everybody, whatever you may be doing.

Edited to add:
@ summer – sorry to read of your daughter's less than acceptable health treatment. I found the PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) helpful in making a very serious complaint when my mother was in hospital. Access to this service can be found in most hospitals. My complaint was taken seriously and had a very successful outcome, apologies were made and procedures changed.
If of any help see link below:

Meg, a smear of, over the counter, hydro cortisone cream will ease the itch , if you can use it..... but don't use a lot. I had a really itchy bite last week & 2 applications a day, for 2 days really relieved it.

Hi Twink I have been using hydrocortisone cream but the rash which is quite large keeps coming back in different areas. I have had it before and think my Medication (which I can't change) is involved in making me sensitive to some things. If I scratch my skin absent mindedly I get a rash.
Thank you for the suggestion.

You have my greatest sympathy Meg! I can cope with pain but itching drives me crazy.
Do what you can to stay cool, because this type of irritation is always worse when you are warm.
Good luck!

Re: Sunday Good Morning

Just checked my wrist watch and it was still the 28 May. I always seem to forget to alter the date on it
