My village, If you look on top of left ear of donkey you will see my house and barn... All looks very different now and that road isnt there any more all the area to the bridge is now forest.

Looks loverly Bags - the good ol days for sure ..... I know it was hard times, but the sense of community was so strong and sadly missing today - I miss it anyway .... I think for you, it is still alive in your village .....

Yes pats it is , just this week 4/5 of the village people came together to help my neighbour cut massive trees down which will one days be the beams for his house he is building , they came with tractors , chain saws ropes and some just fto help like me clear all the cut branches in to a pile for burning, afterwards we had a massive bonfire and cooked sausage and jacket spuds with lashings and lashings ;0) of red wine .... it was hard work but we all had fun

It sounds so bloomin great - I would love that sort of life and community ... every muckin in and looking out for each other, going back in time ...... loverly ....

One of the things that depresses me about living in the UK , is if you offer some one help they refuse because they wonder what your after or are scared you might ask them to help you , it spreads negativity...

My Mother aged 17...lived in poverty,and the sixpence a week allowance she got was spent at the door of the local Palais where she met my Father. Both long gone now.

Photo taken in 1885 of my Grandma...a tin type. Is the oldest photo in my collection.

The man is my Grandfather (my Dad's father) with his 2 sisters...taken in 1937.

My mother's parents...my Mom is 98 now..
