Re: Weight loss thread

Well done Julie, and thanks for starting this.

Yes please, no negative comments, just positive ones and encouragement, to all of us. I hope to start on Thursday with a trip to a slimming club. Set aside the £10 out of my weekly budget (£5 joining fee, 4.65 weekly).

Re: Weight loss thread

Sounds like you have picked the best, I have several friends on other forums who go to the meetings and follow their plan. They are all doing really well so hope it works for you too.

It has amazed me how quickly I got used to not having the carbs, and once cut out all my cravings for sweet things and potatoes went away.

Diabetic nurse keeps telling me I should have 1/3rd carbs per meal as the NHS says but I reckon if this regime has stopped the diabetes in it's tracks for me it's better than what the NHS says I should do.
Hi Julie,

You are very good, I don't think I can cut out my Carbs altogether like you have, the bread and potatoes is easy to cut out, but not rice for me.

Today it's going to be homemade veg. soup for lunch and I am making a Pork Lasagna for dinner tonight perhaps with salad.

Re: Weight loss thread

I didn't think I could either, but when I became allergic to fruit and anything else with a seed or pip or stone I suddenly realised it wasn't so hard to cut things out if they save your life. I have approached carbs in the same way had to say good bye to them

Re: Weight loss thread

I have a chicken n veg soup on the go. Veg mix was reduced to 75p and have thrown in cooked chicken from freezer.

Couldn't give up bread entirely. When my hairdresser said I could have 2 small slices a day with SW I thought, ok. Love potatoes too.

Re: Weight loss thread

Julie are you doing your own diet or have you joined a slimmers club or similar? I do respect those who get to their goal because its tough going and takes alot of willpower and incentive, so bloomin' well done.
