Re: Weight loss thread

I am not with a slimming club when I started I hated being weighed so kept very quiet at home and joined a few weightloss threads on forums. It seemed easier to admit to strangers on line how big I was than showing myself in public.

I did join myfitnesspal and use their site to track calories and exercise, be careful if you join the forum there is brutal and they very much discouraged me at first because they don't like low calorie diets. I wouldn't recommend them for anyone else but for me it works.

It's only as I am getting smaller I feel more happy to be seen and weighed in public and now I seem to be heading in the right direction I personally don't feel I need a club. But we are all different and what I have done may not suit everyone. So we all have to do this the best way for each of us individually.

I don't mind sharing my experiences but I am not suggesting anyone else follow them unless they feel comfortable to do so. I would guess I had a lot more to lose originally than you all do anyway so my way would be tailored to that anyway.

I think Chicken Curry is pretty healthy.. Just be conscious of portion size and take it easy on the Rice. I would have 1/2 cup rice with 1 full cup of curry..

Re: Weight loss thread

Just had vegetable flan myself, made the pastry very thin and over filled with vegetables to make it less calorific. Used a very strong cheese as you need less of it than a milder one to get just as much flavour.

That sounds nice Julie
I had a small beef curry made with freshly ground spices this evening but feel I have eaten a lot because I had a bowl of tomato salad (my own grown tomatoes with some basil) and some sliced onions steeped in vinegar as an accompaniment.

Lost nearly 5 pounds since last update, quite good considering I had a week away on holiday too where it's always hard to be too good LOL
