Re: Unilever to cut size of Magnums and Cornettos to reduce calories

What a ridiculous gesture, using the 'Health and Fitness' angle to sell their product. Don't be fooled, it's all about profit. They don't give a monkey's about your health.

Re: Unilever to cut size of Magnums and Cornettos to reduce calories

The problem is that manufacturers are reducing either the quantity or weight of most products you buy now, without a corresponding reduction in price. This has been going on for years now, and they are all at it!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...prices-UP.html

Food packet racket: The sizes are shrinking... but the price stays the same.

You know the feeling, you buy the same items each week at the supermarket, but they don’t seem to last as long as they used to.

Well, there’s a very good reason – crafty manufacturers are making their packets smaller.

Despite shrinking thousands of items, shops are keeping the price the same, meaning hard-pressed shoppers are getting less for their money.

I think that the thought police will have you for saying the word fat Julie.
You are not being politically correct.
Please say obese in future!

An absolutely pointless gesture, people need to be accountable for themselves ...

Sacrilege for sure, and how sneaky are they to use reducing calories as an excuse. It's a marketing ploy plain and simple and has been going on for a long time with other chocolate treats but without using our health as a reason. You can bet they won't lose out financially.

Interfering with Magnums - the very idea!
