The Looming Tower

New series Friday nights on BBC2

Watched the first episode last night and was hooked. Unfortunately have to wait till next week for the next episode.

It's about the lead up to 9/11 and the rivalry between the CIA and the FBI.

How drama has changed over the years

I remember vividly the QUATERMASS series from our 1963 tv screens. Today it would be laughable.

Or would it?

Laughable (very laughable) but still watchable. Quatermass and the pit was on iplayer a while ago and I enjoyed watching it again.

I don't see any connection between a sci-fi "drama" from five decades ago and a series about the run-up and aftermath of 9/11, in which 3700+ people lost their lives. Ho hum...

Yes, LD I'l be watching it tomorrow. True, it's a TV drama and a lot of it will be based on conspiracy theories because like anything from America, the facts are usually covered up.
Should be a good docu-drama though with a fine cast by the looks of things

The acting is very good Floydy, there are ten episodes though, so it remains to be seen if it can hold my interest for that long. Has good ratings on IMDB.

Sounds interesting, will have to look for it.

It's actually a year old so all ten episodes are available on line if you can't wait to see it all.
