Re: 'Brexit Diet'

If we really did leave without a deal like Nigel Farage and Trump want then yes there would be terrible consequences for food, medicines, power (esp NI),
security the list goes on. We would in effect be declaring a trade war with the EU.

However, Boris the clown is already rowing back on his pre election lies. He is a pathological liar and he will deliver a BINO Brexit (Brexit In Name Only). You watch.

What will a BINO brexit mean in terms of food shortages and price hikes etc?

If reality1 is right, boris will have parliament ratify the deal may brought home and call it his re-negotiated victory over the EU. Based on that deal the transition to out of the EU will not result in prices to go sky high. I hope rather than expect that the effects will be minimal for the common people of britain.

A placebo is just as effective as the real thing. Depends on the "illness"

"The UK currently produces enough gas to meet almost half of its needs (44%) from the North Sea and the East Irish Sea.
We also import 47% of the gas we use via pipelines from Norway, the Netherlands and Belgium. The remaining 9% comes in to the UK by tankers in the form of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)."

You sure you're a Dutchman from Suriname.
