When we go to the library I tell them he is looking for the perfect way to get rid of me and I just want to love him to death

Anyone like Susan Hill's Simon Serrailler mysteries? Just got the latest at the library today: The Vows of Silence.

Re: Crime Novels Anyone?

As an insomiac who reads 2-300 pages each night I just loves crime novels, and am always hunting for new and readable authors. Got a few new names now that sure deserves a try.

In return I can recommend to you Ann Cleeves Shetland quartet; Raven black, White nights, Red bones and Blue lightning.

I must admit I have only read the two first as the other two are not available in norwegian bookshops or librarys yet.

Ann Cleeves books are great crime novels, on the same level as Ian Rankin and Peter Robinson.

If you like crime you will love Robin Cook's Foreign Body. I also enjoy Michael Connelly and I have just read John Grisham's A Painted House this was a slightly different Grisham described as His best work a lyrical, gritty and personal novel all I know is I couldn't put it down.

Must read that then. Never read a John Grisham. Thanks for the tip!

I used to like Robin Cook's books, I will look out for that one. I have John Grishams A painted house as a talking book. I have quite a few TB's they are good for taking in the caravan when I am conserving battery power.

Re: Crime Novels Anyone?

Went to the Oxfam bookshop and got a couple of Ian Rankine (Rebus) and a couple of Michael Connelly for holiday reading

Has anybody read the new Ian Rankine with his new 'hero', who is an 'internal affairs' specialist, a cop investigating cops? I think it's only out in hardback, so far
