Re: Fibre glass

Glass fibre insulation comes in rolls usually between 200mm - 800mm thick. Asbestos wasn't used as a general insulation - just lagging in tape form for pipes or in panels contained inside heaters - it's usually white.

Pipe lagging decays over time and turns powdery if touched allowing fibres to be breathed in - this type is what killed my dad. Specialist companies are needed to dispose of the stuff whereas glass fibre can be disposed of at the local tip in designated areas.
