No I have never painted them the truth is I hardly paint at all.

it's a very good painting but if you don't mind my saying I would alter the mane in particular the bit at the top which is too 'neat '.
It’s a mistake to put the mane on too soon.

Muddy, I think the mane looks too thick , but then I know that some horses have beautiful thick manes.The ones that used to live here often had their manes plaited , but when they were loose the straight hair would split and show some of their neck.

I would if you were here Twink ( I will just have to drink one for you ! )The mane is thick because I love Spanish horses and they have very thick manes . The Spanish like this and don’t pull ( thin) them as people do in the uk .
They plait them differently too.
