Re: Old painting revisited

Muddy, it thrills me to see you painting again! What talent!

You know you are good when people feel confident enough to give you constructive criticism!

Ooo, that eye is indeed perfectly photo-realistic!

Wow Muddy but that IS proper . I wonder if you being the artist sees faults that we the observer wouldn't necessarily see . I think it's a brilliant portrait .

I went to 4 courses at adult learning for two years and not once did we do portraits even though I kept asking . I was disappointed and left and I've lost the desire now

Thank you sue
It is difficult to find portrait classes .
I would like to find one myself .
I look at great portrait artists and wonder how on earth do they do it ?
Love going to the portrait gallery in London .

I particularly like Jonathan Yeo

Fantastic . Whilst in Covent garden this year with my family i watched a scetch being drawn by a young man . He studied his student then started drawing her eyes as I watched this beautiful portrait became her . So clever . His charge was £10 I thought great value . I wanted to have my granddaughters scetched but we didn't have the time sadly

I have been away Muddy, and just seen your beautiful Head of a Horse. The mane is gorgeous an it is not easy to paint hair, straight or wavy.

That painting is a credit too you, and you can see a lot of work has gone into it.

I once joined a Portrait Class ,and when the female model appeared, she stood on the podium and disrobed. The man next to me blushed scarlet and said!
"I only came to do faces, what will my wife think?

What indeed!
