The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

Anyone seen this? I note it is on TV in an hour or so and am wondering whether to watch or whether, given that I am on my own (pets excepted) and my leg is huring, it will be terribly depressing? I know it's unlikely to end 'happily ever after' but - is it a good watch?

This review rates it highly - think I'll give it a try. It's nice and brief at 90 minutes, so not too much misery .....

Its fantastic!! The book is much better but perhaps if I hadnt read it before watching the dvd i'd not be a slight critic.

Very good.
Fantastic cinematography, David Thewlis fabulous/frightening as the Papa and the little boy, Bruno, has the bluest eyes

Re: The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

A truly powerful and beautifully acted film. The sort of film that picks you up and shakes you about a bit.
