I was given my User Name when I was at work, cos I alway's had a caustic remark for any stupid question asked by a manager.

One of my Nieces started calling me Merz some years ago and its stuck, all my family now call me this. I even sign cards Merz, because if I signed Mary they probably wouldn't know who they were from

My name is Catherine and I am known as Kate, but I prefer Cate and I was joining a cooking forum so chose to be Cookiecate plus I do like to think that I am a touch cookie.

I was working in the shed when my son was setting up the computer and he asked me what user name I wanted. The first thing I saw was a can of flux on the window shelf, (I use it for lead soldering) and as my name is Jem I just added it on, there was also a can of glue, but I decided against calling myself THE GLUE FLUX CAN as I might be arrested.

I do use my real name on some sites but not as often as I used to.

It`s not for privacy or anything but my name is Stephan and all my life it has been changed to Stephen. I sent back my first degree certificate as it was awarded to Stephen,my bank account is Stephen despite me telling them for years.

I`d have been better being called Sue!!
