Re: The Lottery

I won £140 ( I think) when it first started, but haven't done it for years, I think the prizes are too big now, they should cap the main one and share the rest out better I think.

Re: The Lottery

I have never bought a single ticket for the lottery

I am a 'bird in the hand' kind of person preferring to spend the £1 on something to enjoy now rather than throwing it away on the remote chance of winning anything.

Re: The Lottery

When you consider the number of tickets sold each week, and the millions of different combinations of numbers Sweetie, and some weeks nobody wins, it just makes you realise how hard to win the 'Big One' really is.......
I bought some premium bonds one year ago and have won £250 to date, and I still have my initial stake money....

Re: The Lottery

I have to carry on, the Lottery was conceived parallel to a significant loss, at which time, numbers were displayed, these will be imparted, as part of an inheritance, something good has to happen at some point, for someone.

Or does it.

Re: The Lottery

I got four numbers a couple of weeks ago which is the first time that happened for about 15 years. Won loads of tenners and two or three £25 since it changed with the new rules. Put helluva lot more in tan I've got back though.
I have two lines but only on Saturday. Costs me £16 per month. One is birthdays, the other Pink Floyd chart positions!
