They are very interesting pictures, Tess.

I think this thread could become even more interesting if you, and others, invited people to suggest exactly what the photos are of.

At a guess, I'd say the first and second are of a clock movement.
I was initially at a loss to understand what the eight metal attachments were for on the second photo, but I'd assume they are the hammers of a chiming mechanism.

As for the third, the licence disc would suggest a vehicle and I think most likely a motorcycle or scooter of some sort.

I think I have an idea for something I'd like to post, but I'll have to take it apart first!

I thought you chaps might like this subject .
I'm sure everyone has something they can take the cover off!
JBR you're right about the first two, I was given a huge box of clock bits to make Steampunk jewelry etc. some of it is too interesting to use for that, it's quite beautiful in it's old age, like us!!!
The last photo was a very old tractor that was left to rot, at least it looked like it might have been once.
