Gaza/ Israel

Here we go !

Over the last few weeks, Israel have been dropping bombs on Gaza. Probably because Gaza were sending balloons across the fence.
Various injuries received by the Palestinians.

March 24th:

Israeli fighter jets on Saturday struck the eastern parts of the Bureyc refugee camp in central Gaza City, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In a written statement, the ministry said three Palestinians were wounded in the airstrikes. These airstrikes were followed by two others later in the day.

The statement gave no further details on the condition of the wounded.

Israeli forces have recently been targeting Gaza with airstrikes, alleging that burning kites and balloons were sent from Gaza to the Israeli side.

Last week, on March 15th, the Israeli airforce carried out a staggering 100 air strikes in the Gaza Strip. Following the air strikes, Israel warned it would continue to use “uncompromising force” against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip should the UN Security Council not condemn the alleged launching of two rockets towards Tel Aviv. For its part, Hamas said that Israel is causing new crises in the Gaza Strip through its military escalation and targeting of Palestinian resistance sites and civilian facilities.

The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) on Friday condemned Israel’s “apparent intentional use of unlawful lethal and other excessive force” against civilian protesters in the Gaza Strip during the Great March of Return.

In addition to condemning Israel, the UNHRC also called for perpetrators of violations in the besieged enclave to face justice.

Even more worrying is that FourPaws are doing a massive animal rescue at this very moment from the Rafa Zoo in Gaza.

I am not sure at this point what will happen, I was surprised to read the other day Israel and Saudi appear to be becoming friendly. At first I thought it might be peace they both wanted but now I am wondering if it is an unholy alliance and both countries are warlike against their neighbours.

Re: Gaza/ Israel

There can never be more than an armistice in that region. There is no neighbouring state that is willing (or able because of Islam) to agree to leader with Israel.

As for bombing places where so called Palestinians are using human shields, most of whom are delighted to be exposed to retaliating weaponry because of the assured "go straight to heaven if you're a martyr", what else should Israel do?

Re: Gaza/ Israel

PD zone again you quote from MEMO
The Middle East Monitor a strongly pro Palestinian pro Hamas pro Muslim brotherhood anti Israel website based in London .
One of its editors is from Grenada .
Why they come to London to slag off Israel is beyond me .
Probaby because there is so much anti semitism here .
Anything that comes from this web site is bound to be biased and of no value .

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East_Monitor

The simple answer is if you don't want to get bombed don't provocate the Isrealis .

As for animal rescue I should think so too. As Gazas leaders don't care about their own civilian population putting them in harms way why would they care about a few zoo animals ?

Of some scrubby private zoo where the owner declaws the lions .
Israel is happy to let the animals come to Israel to be relocated

Re: Gaza/ Israel

Animal cruelty is horrendous in the Gaza .
The live animal trade to Gaza means Australian cattle are tortured and slaughtered in the streets while people film it in their phones .
But then they throw their fellow gazans off rooftops so what a few poor cows .
Australians please don't send your cattle live to The Middle East .

Due to military escalations, Four Paws have been unable to enter Gaza to carry out the rescue of 40 animals from Rafah Zoo.
They should have been in there yesterday.

Ah the continuing 'spats' in the ME - all of these are family disputes/fightings/disagreements between cousins of the old order - remember - if your a bystander then don't get involved in other family disputes you could get your nose bloodied?

Re: Gaza/ Israel

The worrying thing is this specific spat could escalate into something nobody wants.
Syria about to blast Israel out of Golan, and Jihadists making threats to Israel if they attack Gaza.

Assad might just hold off, but I fear that Jihadists usually carry out what they threaten. It concerns all of us, not only the Middle East.
