In all honesty, I'd find it remarkably difficult to wear our suite, it consisting of two large sofas.

Trousers are possible, though, but jeans are more usual.

My dad used to wear braces. Never see them anymore.

Something to do with modern fabrics me thinks, esp Lycra which spring back into shape, unless of course you are a size 18 still thinking a 10 fits perfectly

Back in the day there was even gators for keeping socks up as there was no such thing as elastic

My dad wore those expanding things on his arms to keep his sleeves up and suspender sock hold ups, but no braces on his trousers.

(I'm just having a dejavu thread moment talking about the arm bracelets thingies and sock sussies)

Damn, well spotted JB

Do you do anything about hitching up your trousers/jeans before you sit?

Well,

I never button up my jacket, as I prefer the more coowell look..

Sometimes, you have to pull up yer strides before you sit, otherwise it strangles yer meat & two veg. You have to give 'em some space.....

Everything seems to have Lycra, elastic, elastine in it now

We’ll certainly of the shelf stuff does

I reckon a hand made tailored suit would be different

I have seen adds for sock gators recently. Can’t mind if it’s the ads on the back of a weekend newspaper or facebook
