I used to use Facebook until I discovered that I somehow had three different pages! How, I have no idea.

I attempted to delete all three, with the intention of starting over again, but later found that one of them remained. Worse, I could not access it to delete it. I tried every password that I could possibly have used, but nothing was recognised.

I could find no means of accessing any technical support for help, and so the unused (and unusable) page remains.

I have decided not to set up a new account as anyone wanting to contact me would find two pages, and that would cause nothing but confusion.

That was several weeks ago and, to be honest, I have found that I don't miss Facebook at all, and that might be a good thing having read about Facebook making use of personal details for nefarious reasons!

I have heard of accounts being duplicated, they make a duplicate of your account then befriend other people using it....

I really enjoy Facebook, I only have real friends on there, well apart from a few I have "met" via forums and have gotten fond off

I am a member of a few specialist sites on Facebook and I use the local ones for keeping up with whats going on locally and buying and selling etc

Also with family all over the world, its really handy for keeping up with whats happening with them, and of course using the phone on the messenger, means we can talk FOC

I have a twitter account but don't understand it at all and the kids have tried to get me on snap chat and the likes but Im not really interested

There is one of your friends you really want to keep an eye on I have heard he is a bit mental and tends to flood people feeds with Panda videos

If I remember, each of the three differed in appearance so it could well have been my doing, though I don't remember doing it.

My mum keeps doing that as well JBR, I have to get in touch with FB and getting the old accounts deleted and reinstating her real one

I go on Facebook almost every day.

Most of my family and friends are on there and I like to chat to them & admire their photo's etc as they do mine..

I'm also addicted to Facebook scrabble and spend a very pleasurable hour before I go to bed playing with my opponents.

I don't know why people knock whet they don't know about.

In no way does this replace my social activities in the real world. I have plenty of those.

A few years ago someone had set up a Facebook account in my name , they made contact with my female boss and asked for friendship , then they started messaging her strange things about 'my' life , it went on a a while until I received an email through work suggesting it might be best if we deleted the Facebook friendship . I rang her and explained I had not befriended her , I was able to prove it wasn't me as I am under a different surname to the fake one .


She never did find out who it was but we knew it was someone from work because of the wrong name .
