It's been cold here, too. Wednesday and Thursday temperatures are supposed to be as high as 19c before falling back to normal again.

I don't mind the cold, probably because I hardly get out much.

trouble with these rapid changes in temperatures is that this is when the cold germs start. My colleague who lives in Manchester left for work this morning at 6.30am and he had to scrape ice of his windscreen! It was 1 degrees. By time I got to work at 10am it was 8 degrees.
