Tonight my dear wife just got a call on her mobile. The vet reporting in about Max, our lovely beast. I have mentioned before that Max makes friends, engages, makes people smile.

I would have expected our vet to be objective but she seems to have taken Max to heart. He just does that to people. Melts them.

How could you not love this gentle beast......

Love that picture, the bond between children and animals always amazes me so wonderful.

Cats not so much, they will go to whoever feeds them. I remember watching a programme on this.
Not always true.

I wish! Dogs seem to seek me out and want to walk with me when I am out on my daily walks. Maybe they appreciate the fact I have no fear of them, treating them as the species they are.

Max just completely blanks those who don't want to engage.

Aww lovely, my two wait for the alarm clock then take that as a signal to leap on me, I'm sure they are awake waiting for the moment because they are pretty quick to react to it.

I very much doubt they would ignore me, I have no idea why but animals in general seem to want to engage with me. A few years a dormouse saw me coming, but instead of running away it stayed put and looked up at me, I swear it was smiling. I wished it, 'good morning', before chasing it away, in case one of the neighbourhood cats fancied a snack.

Dogs are odd creatures I always think it sad when they love an abuser, we've removed dogs from people who have beaten them but the dogs grieve for that abuser for ages and if they meet again greet them like long lost friends. So sad.
