Batism.

A man decided he wanted to be baptised, so he asked his local clergyman if he would do the baptism ceremony and the clergyman said yes he could do it straight away.

So they went to the local stream and waded in. The clergyman ducked the mans head in the water and when lifted out he said

Cleryman " Did you find god?"
Man " no I didn't"

Clergyman held the mans head under water for the second time then lifted it out.
Cleryman " Did you find god this time?"
Man " no sorry I didn't"

Clergyman held the mans head under water for the third time and held it under for a lot longer, he again lifted the mans head out of the water.

Cleryman " Did you find god this time?"

Man " no sorry I didn't, are you sure he drowned around here"
