I think it rude to forget anybodies name, but must confess it is a cross I have had to bear most of my life, my children used to get a roll call until I hit on the right name, so it is not old age setting in.I call everybody mate or love, gender appropriate of course.

Many a time, l have had to dodge them and hide in an aisle, going through the alphabet to try and remember their name so l can do introductions!!
