Jack Bruce

Jack Bruce, legendary Bassist singer & songwriter was died aged 71. Truly one of the most influential blues /rock musicians of the 20th century.

Re: Jack Bruce

Sad to hear this, his musical contributions are scattered throughout my album collection. Farewell Jack your music lives on.

Re: Jack Bruce

Great, great Bass player - possibly the best rock/jazz bassist ever (and a brilliant blues/rock singer). A sad loss to the world of music.

Re: Jack Bruce

I saw Cream at the Shrine Convention Center in Los Angeles in 1967 or 8. They were great, It was the high point for all of them, including Clapton music wise. Clapton went on to greater fame and I think Bruce was the greater artist, Ginger was like the rebirth of Buddy Rich. I like Jack's vocals with Cream.
I did not follow any of them too closely after Cream.
