You don't have to phone in sick!

Ooops! Don't count my voluntary work, cancelling 2 PC classes.

When I was in St Thomas' Hospital, we were requied to phone in every day with an update. Even if you were bedridden with the most awful cold and coughing your lungs up. Bit like now.

Yes. I've often wondered if I should have one of those noticeboards that you see in nursing homes - "Today is Friday. The weather is wet." (Although lately that last statement can be taken for granted, it seems...)
