fish off the menu

I've been looking at some restaurant menus and noticed that there's no fish dishes , there used to be always, prawns , salmon or scallops, I was wondering if there was a reason for this...

Re: fish off the menu

Some restaurants were reporting a lot of no-show bookings, what with that and uncertainty of local lockdowns perhaps they have to buy in food that they know has a good shelf life. Seafood is sometimes advertised as fresh in restaurants especially if near the coast.

I love seafood although I do worry about its carbon footprint and also the amount of mercury tha it has in it.

Fish is orf.

But there's a fly in my soup.

I think fishmongers, not fish restaurants, are doing alright around here at the moment. In fact, a new one opened three weeks ago.
