Tezza - EC$ is the Eastern Caribbean dollar hence cost/pie in the Caribbean. The original clue in cryptic films was something like cost of pasties in the West Indies (not posted by me). Somebody (caricature?) worked it out...

Feey - 10 is correct.

In 1) you need to think about the clue location and another word for it. 12) took a lot of guesses when Cherie posted it as a clue in Cryptic Films - it’s a single word and relates to a siege.

Hood? location of an engine would be under a bonnet,or hood in America.

Re: Film Dingbats 2

Times for some extra clues, just like we normally need in Cryptic Films...

1) This film would have been controversial in both the 1962 and 1997 versions and would be even more so now. Where is it in the box and how else do you describe 1000cc?

5) How do you weed and how many Bugsys have you heard of? This film was so successful they made a xxxx xxxx 2.

6) Need to look at close up and maybe there should be exclamation marks after each letter. It’s a war film about a surprise attack by one of the Axis powers.

8) Where is the first word and then what comes after the arrow? This film features Ewan Mcgregor’s uncle..

9) This is a “say what you see”. Another war film but with a touch of comedy.

12) Where would a vehicle be buried? Single word title film about a famous siege.
