Those ladies affected by the the delay in Pension Age , all 3.8 million of them, are to get payouts from the Government starting at £15000 each.

Total Cost £58 billion.

They would be mad not to Vote Labour.

That's a bit worrying.....as you say Swims it's likely women who missed out will vote for that. I think there should be some rules around what amounts to blatant vote buying with tax payers money.

What hasn't been mentioned is the large increase in a basic pension that those who retire later get, those who retired earlier don't get it. The maximum New State Pension is £168.60 per week. Those who retired earlier get £129.20 per week. Presumably, those who are promised the bonus will get both.

I have always thought it unfair that men and women retire at a different time too . Why should man have to work longer before they are allowed to retire.

But it wasn't brought in on a gradual scale, the age was increased in one hit.My wife as an example was do to retire in 3 yrs aged 60,that as now been stretched out to 9 yrs aged 66,is that fair?
I should add its not known as retirement date now its the state pension age.
