Rats will chatter back to you , its called Bruxing ...they clench their teeth together and grind them ...at the same time their eyes will 'pop' it is the rats equivalent of a cats purr...it is a sign of happiness and contentment ...

I think I'll pass on having a rat as a pet.

Re: 15 new babies

They are wonderful pets. We have 3 groups of males & one group of females, kept in a separate room, no babies here, we have enough with the others!
Rats come to you when called, very affectionate & one of ours who is a blind & hairless Dumbo rat loves giving kisses. We rescued him. He lives with one of our male groups.
They're so funny when out for exercise. I'm standing at the bathroom sink & they're literally climbing straight up my legs & make it all the way to my shoulder

I sometimes have 5 rats around my neck at once.

Re: 15 new babies

I know of a few people that have had or have pet rats.
All I can say is each to their own.
I'll keep to my canines!

Re: 15 new babies

We don't sell them for that and we never would....pet shops sell frozen ones specially for snakes... There is no need to use live ones
