Good stuff, I hadn't realised the Ex-Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer was so popular in Scotland.

This is where the two children lived and died who were my GGG grandfather's children on the headstone i posted. Wonder if Robert Burns popped in for a cuppa?

Aww thanks Tiffany . I love the fact that my partner lives in that area, and I'm just finding out all these things about my ancestors. So interesting!

Scotland is certainly a beautiful place - wish more people appreciated their surroundings - we would see a better world if they did, every one would have a smile on their face for a start .....

Re: Burn's country

Thanks Patsy. I will also say that I've been to some lovely places in England and Wales. Ireland also has it's fair share of beautiful scenery. We have a beautiful country. Yes, it can be nice to visit sunnier climes, but I always look forward to coming back home and visiting Loch Lomond! It never fails

Well home is where the heart is - always and forever
Loch Lomond, even the name is beautiful
Oh I know Ireland and Wales are equally so - a part of me stays in Ireland too
