On a clear day..

On a clear day, you can see forever - or at least a long way.
The weather today was the clearest I have seen for ages and driving down to MacDuff, you could see clear across the Moray firth towards the very north east part of Scotland.

The picture doesn't do it justice as the mountains are about 60 miles away. Unfortunately, it's a long drive round by Inverness before you can start driving north.

Lovely blue water, like a breath of fresh air with the hills in the back drop..

It is quite a sight..
Lived close to Inverness, Florida, that is, nothing like that there but it is told that it was named by a immigrate Scot as it reminded him of the Scottish Inverness.

From above MacDuff, I was able to see an round in an arc of about 40 miles. A man I was chatting to (another one who retired here from England) agreed that it was the clearest day he had seen since moving here.
