Re: I dont fancy this

My kids had a "Do Not Resuscitate" notice on my ex wife after she suffered severe brain damage in a stroke after a brain operation. Whether it is still valid I do not know but it was a very hard choice for them to make collectively.

I don't see the problem with it, there are end of life plans that you can sign while still in control of your faculties that will be followed when you are not in control.

When things get overwhelmed in ICU someone has to triage the patients and decide who will get treatment and who won't. These forms make the job easier and remove life and death decisions from someone else.

Re: I dont fancy this

If you check the comments on the article Swiss nationals are saying this is over-sensationalised fake news. But as it's in the DM it must be true.

That must be a relief for the over 60s then .
60 is no great age these days to be written off .

I would hate to be resuscitated if it meant I was incapable of looking after myself. I dread not being able to dress myself or do my hair...if resuscitation means that let me go with some dignity.

Ditto, but you are. People are discriminated against because of age as if overnight you suddenly become decrepit.

A few wrinkles and grey hair and you've got OFITG.
