Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Hi Jess, Good to see you back again. But was it worth it? going away I mean. I'd hate having to isolate after a holiday, so much so that I wouldn't have gone. But that's me, I'm a home body.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Good evening all. Glad you enjoyed your break Jess. You'll miss a walk by the shore but the time will soon pass. It's been warm and (mostly) sunny here so I finished painting the fence. I feel less 'restless' when I can get into the garden. I'm probably afraid that staying indoors will mean I will have to do some housework! Take care.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Morning, Dull but dry here so took a chance and bunged a wash on. Not a lot on today just take it as it comes, walked the dog so he's happy.
It's getting busy here with bloody tourists and their mess, the ones in camper vans just park anywhere they feel like it, including across farm gates that tractors ect need access to. Locals are pretty fed up with their we can do what wee like attitude, there's going to be fireworks before much longer. Some of the small village shops are refusing to serve them, it's locals only.
On a cheery note, Have you seen the new Spitting Image puppets that have just been made. I fell about laughing when I saw them, looking forward to seeing them in action.

Roxy I don't blame you for being angry with the tourists. They just don't care where they leave their rubbish. Loved, Spitting Image when it was on, cant wait to see the new series. May sun is trying to come out here at the moment, so maybe get out and do a bit in the garden.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Good evening. I did enjoy Spitting Image first time around & I'm looking forward to it. The puppets are good. I think I saw one of Prince Andrew as well so it should be fun watching. Jess, the garden is the one thing which has kept me (reasonably) sane these past months. I might need to think about housework in the longer term. I do have 3 things I would like sorted/changed in the house so maybe that will keep me busy for the next couple. Not that I will be doing them but organising with joiner etc will keep me busy. Roxy, the tourists must be a pain. They can bring business to the local economy but their attitude seems to be spoiling that. Are there proper camping sites/lots in the area? Perhaps big signs saying anyone parking/camping in unauthorised areas will be moved on & fined could work? I'm sure you have tried these things before but sometimes you just have to keep telling people before they understand.
Take care & enjoy the sunshine this weekend.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Morning, Wall to wall blue sky and sun at the moment. We are heading up into the hills with the horses this afternoon for a long hack, really looking forward to it. The beach is going to be busy as there were tourists arriving while I was there with the dog. More bloody mess to be cleared up by tonight I suppose. Away to peg out the washing and have a quick tidy up, enjoy the warm W/E people.
