Schools closed until after Easter

https://www.theguardian.com/educatio...aster-holidays

No guarantee that all will return even then, a rota system to reduce numbers in school is the only way to make sure they stay open.

Re: Schools closed until after Easter

Strange times lie ahead. Don't know how the young ones are going to get their education, I know I'd have struggled with this home learning, as I worked full time and my son needed to be kept at, it or he would have sloped off. School was where he needed to be.

They're all in the same boat so nobody will have advantage over the other.
They will find a way to make up for it when all this is over.

They have no choice really!!

Maybe they should write off this academic year and extend leaving by a year for all kids affected.

I think lockdowns are going to become normal every year now Swim, as new mutations of Covid will be ravaging through our communities.

The lockdowns are much too loose. Too many exceptions, nowhere near enough enforcement and much too soft penalties for those -------- who don't comply. I would like to see imprisonment making use of vacant barracks, troops on the streets, and curfew in place.

The stated objective was and remains limiting the load on the NHS until a viable vaccine or effective treatment is found.

Sending kids to school is simply crazy.

Hi

Those Countries who went for a strict lockdown have fared much better than we have, both in the number of deaths and the financial.

I agree with everything you say with one exception.

Using the Military for Enforcement.

Why? If nothing else it would give them something useful to do.
