Waking up & not having to get up.
Taking a cup of coffee back to bed to read & play on my smartphone.
Looking through the window at the lovely white landscape.
The thought of being able to please myself what I'm going to do.
Having a chat with my friend on the phone later today.

Re: Five things that make your day slightly better

My neighbour has had a pacemaker fitted and came home this morning
Not having to be in work this morning at 5am LOL
The dog is asleep and wagged her tail as I spoke to answer the phone
White out because of the snow
Think I have decided on the next stage of my garden change.

I'll go along with that but I'll add:
- seeing Cyril the Squirrel falling to the ground
- finding he'd been back and eaten all the spilled peanuts
- lovely, almost cloudless, blue sky this afternoon.

Re: Five things that make your day slightly better

- Waking up on a sunny day brightens everything.
- Having no aches and pains that day.
- Calls and messaging from my grandchildren and son and daughter these past 10 months.
- Springtime and all it offers.
- Looking forward to a holiday this year.

Gotta look for the positives Mags Sometimes we focus on the big and little things that go wrong but miss the nice things.

1. The wag of the dogs' tails as those first photons slip over the horizon.
2. The sound of our winter-visiting starlings who gather in the pines at sunset, just before they leave in silence and dive into the protection of the sawgrass island a few hundred yards out.
3. Having my running route all to myself.
4. The elephant ears are sprouting.
5. Leftovers, so I don't have to cook.
