Depends - in some ways I prefer Boris to Trump and in others I prefer Trump. As far as Brexit is concerned I would have preferred Trump, he would have walked away from the EU rather than cutting a deal with them, which I wasn't in favour of.

Who would you prefer ?

The Former Presidents Act of 1958 stipulates that presidents are entitled to a pension, government-paid staff, government-paid office space and furniture, a $1 million annual budget for security and travel and a $500,000 annual budget for their spouse’s security and travel after leaving office.

Presidential pensions equal the annual salary of the head of an executive department, such as the Departments of State, Treasury, Defense or Justice. That is roughly $200,000, or half of the presidential salary.

The FPA describes a former president as someone who held the office and “whose service in such office shall have terminated other than by removal pursuant to section 4 of article II of the Constitution of the United States of America,” which spells out impeachment and removal from office.

Do you really think billionaire Donald Trump gives a toss about a $200K a year pension and expense account ? He didn't even take a salary when he was President and instead gave it to charity.

And by the way, Trump isn't in office, the voters voted him out of it.

Re: Impeachment of Donald Trump

After the White House, Trump faces uncertain future and legal threats.

Forbes estimated in September that Trump’s net worth had dropped an estimated $600 million in the previous year, to $2.5 billion. The New York Times reported Trump had personally guaranteed $421 million of his companies’ debts.

At the stroke of noon on January 20th, the legal shield that Trump has wielded to stave off lawsuits vanished, exposing him to an abundance of civil and criminal legal peril.

Deutsche Bank won’t lend any further money to the Trump Organization after its current loans—which are worth more than three hundred million dollars—come due, in 2023 and 2024.
Trump has personally guaranteed these loans.

Shopify, the e-commerce provider, shut down a number of online stores affiliated with Trump

The P.G.A. Championship will no longer be held at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster

The British Open (Golf) will not be played at Turnberry, owned by Trump

Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world’s largest brokers of commercial real estate, will no longer do business with the Trump Organization

The Signature Bank closed Trump’s personal accounts.

New York City announced that it is ending Trump’s contracts to run two ice rinks and a carousel in Central Park and a golf course in the Bronx.

So yes, I do think he would like to be sure of this 200.000 USD a year.
And ´billionaire´? I doubt it.

Perhaps a billionair in debts...

Rand Paul summed up the current situation very well yesterday. It's pretty much my own view too. I put a link to the article at the bottom of this post.

The hysteria around the punishment for Trump (for something he didn't actually do, but the left seem to praise when it's their own doing it) is now reaching the highest levels of craziness. Soon the left will oppose everything Trump said and reverse every policy he put in place because if they don't it will be interpreted as the equivalent of supporting Trump. If they do, they will end up being attacked by their own side because of it, just like we saw with USA Mayors who supported BLM ending up with their houses vandalised because they were not defunding the police and implementing their agenda quick enough. They will be victimised, bullied and have their careers destroyed all in the same way as what is happening now. Pelosi and her followers want lists drawn up of all the Republicans who had a senior role with Trump so that it can be circulated to large companies where they can be registered in order for them, to be blacklisted. It's quite disgusting really, that people resort to this level of nastiness just because they don't agree with Trump.

Biden is uniting the nation ... like sh1te he is. He is doing the opposite by promoting a hate campaign against nearly 50% of the USA who voted for Trump in 2020, 11 million more, remember than in 2016.

The Democrats will destroy the economy of the USA in a grand virtue signalling play to the nutters on the hard left, snowblind to the mantra of "Trump is Bad", driven by hate hysteria and ignorance. The irony is that they will try and pin the blame on Trump for this as well.

Hi

If the Americans want to vote for him again let them.

It is their problem, not ours.

OK.

Trumps wealth declined because he was not running his businesses while he was President. It's not permitted for one, but while he is being President his contacts, clients and customers deal with other people. Furthermore, when you have a pandemic, most businesses lose money one way or another anyway.

It isn't unusual for a wealthy man to lose money when he comes a politician.

On the other hand, when a poor man (Biden) becomes wealthy by being a politician then that is certainly more suspect.

I doubt Trump will worry too much about losing 600 million or whatever the exact figure is. He will make up the shortfall soon enough, it's what business men do.

10 million more people voted for him in 2020 than 2016, think of that in customer numbers and client numbers and you will see what I mean. As for those companies pulling out of his companies and investments I don't think that will bother him either. I dare say most of these companies aren't pulling out because of Trump they are pulling out because of COVID and blaming him for it to try and get further borrowing and investments from the left.

Your making it a far bigger problem than it actually is.

All these law suits will amount to nothing too. They usually do.

You should be more concerned about Creepy Joe's involvement in the Ukraine and China and all that information on Hunter Bidens laptop. I'm sure it will all be published soon.
