Things Hotting up in Brussels

Ooer! Looks as though member states are spitting feathers.

Proof, if any were needed that UK has been the financial mainstay of EU. No deal or UK will be dead in the water.

EU is failing, our government must not let us sink with it.

Excellent. Looks to me like there are quite a few over there with soiled underwear now, and the elite have still got their collective heads in the proverbial sand.

Hi

The one keeping pushing back the declared deadlines is Boris.

He has backed down on every deadline he has set.

This is not a good negotiating position, it makes us look weak,

So, we are holding all the cards after all. Now there's a surprise.....

Can't say I'll lose any sleep over the EU falling out with themselves.

Boris has been duty bound to extend if there is a chance of a deal until all options have been exhausted. There is no way the EU can now say we have not negotiated in good faith, in fact, they have well and truly buried themselves.

I said this would happen... the member states all shaking their fists at the EU commission for putting the UK "punishment" over the people and their businesses.

No he hasn't. At least 3 resets were forced on him. This latest one is all the doings of Uschi vdL and Co.

EU is not a true political union, they do not trust each
other.

“Europe will be forged in crises” founder Jean Monnet.

EU has been inert when it was expected to be effective.

Look what happened with Coronavirus and how the EU demanded borders stay open and then left all the member states to fend for themselves.

No consolidated infection rates from the EU ... its all by individual member state

You must either watch or read completely different things to the rest of us if you think that.

Barnier gave a deadline of 9th December.
THEN he said on Monday that "the next few days are important if a deal is to be in place".
Today he's said that there are just hours left.
Do you really think that will be true, or can you see the talks continuing?

All Monsewer Barmier you will note - NOT Boris.

We're in the end game and it is the EU that keep moving their own deadline - and now their own Parliament is disagreeing with their Commission so desperate are they to avoid being the ones to quit first.

You're absolutely right however in that it's not a good negotiating position and that it gives an appearance of weakness - but it's the EU looking like fools and certainly not the UK.

As you can see from the posts in here, we're loving the EU's obvious discomfort too.
