Re: If

Rudyard Kipling was ahead of his time Spitfire.

IF is the antidote to IF ONLY, the saddest phrase of all.

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

Re: If

There is usually an answer somewhere so I believe - that answer may be simple - but we may not always get the answer we want and turning that answer into working practice and one which satisfies our need to know is sometimes the most difficult thing.

I would say 'Dumbing down' as in 'deliberate diminishing of the intellectual level' is never a good solution to anything, better to strive to attain the highest standards
