Re: Trump supporters stormed Capital Hill

Tachyon, good post.

While invoking the 25th Amendment was expected by the far right, the most credence will those statements and recommendations by Republican House and Senate members like Kinzinger.

The questions now being debated by Congress are one, whether or not this can be accomplished within the next twelve days, and two whether or not any action will further incite further division.

Back to add, removing a sitting president is harder than it looks. It would take the vice president, a majority of the sitting Cabinet members, and a two-thirds majority from the House and Senate.

We are all watching.

It was done rather effectively in the case of JFK in much less time.

True. But wouldn't work with Trump. Bullet would go straight through his skull unimpeded by brain matter.

Think Trump will behave himself now. After all, even he can't ignore the fact that his actions led to 4 people dying.

Being banned from social media will really irritate him though.

In any case, it makes his attempt to get re-elected next time far more unlikely to take place.

He's shot himself in the foot big-time.

Next time he would be slightly older than Biden is now. I like the way they say Joe Biden junior.

Yes scot, poor old Joe looks like he's got one foot in the grave. I'm surprised that with America being the size that it is, they couldn't come up with someone a bit more convincing and, well, Alive.... Mind you, I thought that at the last election....They could borrow Boris if they liked until they could find someone...
