Are you afraid of what British life will be in the future?

Over this week I have read and watched programmes on how our police force can no longer handle law & order in this country.( most of the police have sustained injuries & frequently are in fear of losing their lives when sent out on duty)

I have seen politicians joining with groups of others to make things go their way, especially on Brexit, so how democratic is this country now?

Never a week goes by without some youth stabbing another, and become a murderer!

We are never surprised to hear of yet another terrorist attack on our citizens.

We criticize the USA for the number of shootings, so why can't Britain see that British life is going the same way?

We can't just blame the government anymore, because there are too many people trying to survive when the resources are no longer enough.

If we do nothing this country will become like many others & we will live in a society where the winners are violent criminals, or the best con merchants.

I have no children & don't expect to be around for more than another 20 years... so i hope to miss the worst of what is to come. I would be interested to hear how the rest of you think you can protect your children & their offspring though.

A good post Twink, I admit to feeling the same. An overwhelming despair that Pandora's box has been opened and the consequences ominous.

For me Twink the buck stops at the Government and the law makers.
There is nothing that we can do without those 2 party's changing their ways.

Government are the ones responsible for all the cutbacks and the law makers probably full of Liberals and Labour are quite happy to allow leniency to what ever crime is committed.
Even murder's walk free after a few years.

The only way to save the children is to educate them as parents and grand parents on what not to do, and what to do in their live's.

We cannot depend on their schooling no more to do this.
Teachers are scared stiff to even touch a child in case of an assault charge which I find is a complete joke. But even then if it were allowed how many teachers would correct children these days.

We can always fetch back National Service that may stop the rot a little but I think going back to the lawmakers and Government is the main problem and it will have to start there.

Bottom line "It is our responsibility."

There are too many people with not enough to do.....
If you are working hard there is no time or energy for troublemaking.

One thing you could praise conservatives for no matter how evil I felt they were in other areas was they were strong on crime. What's happened to that ? They have presided over a bubbling pot of poverty that will only really make matters worse. I always think we could almost stop most crimes if everyone had what they needed and didn't have to steal or hurt people to get things.

I have been a bit afraid for the last few years, ever since that Toxic Tory Government got in. I loathe their policies of looking after the rich and to hell with the workers. I don't trust them one wee bit with anything, if there's a way to screw us they will do it. Liars and Bandits the lot of them.

I watched Children of men the other day and a shiver went down my spine. It's a future version of Britain in about ten years time, but was produced in 2006. A chaotic version of what we have today.

Technology will be the future for law enforcement in the future, instant access to information on the beat.

A police state where big brother is watching you? No thanks. We already have enough snooping.
