Corrupt politicians are ten a penny these days. But I picked on the property cost because it's in bold in the original post.

Am I understanding this correctly .

An MP lives in social housing ?

On an MPs salary she should not be living in social housing at all !

£750 while it won't buy a mansion in London will still buy something liveable.

I'm not so sure about that really, they are elected for 4 years, if they lose their seat they have to be able to return to normal life. One thing I want most is MPs who understand real life, if they do live on estates and in social housing so much better for meeting us IMO our local Councillor still lives in his disabled adapted flat down the road and he's great he understand our problems.

So after she leaves her job how is she supposed to live if she hasn't got her home any more ? People call these things we live in houses but they are homes really.

Good idea then can't afford the mortgage when she leaves her job. Can't think of anything better.

But you ignored my point it may only be a 4 year contract, or even shorter if you mess up or there is an election.

So what?
She buys a small house elsewhere and moves into it and gets a job as people do
There is no job security today yet people buy houses with mortgages .

May I say Julie you are a master at evading difficult questions .
