She was struggling all her life so was entitled to social housing. But people don't get thrown out of social housing just because they get better pay. At least I've not heard of that happening. Maybe there's more to it than that but I've seen people buy council houses for a pittance and it wasn't their fault that the houses were sold to them. How many look a gift horse in the mouth for ethical reasons? It's the system that doesn't work. But if you try to change that the wrong people end up homeless and destitute.

70k a year plus a living allowance for a second home and if she is not elected a good pension for the rest of her life so why not buy her own house?

I quite agree. I know quite a few people that bought their council homes but you can't blame them. I just know that politicians seem to be the most corrupt in our society, I bet she claims all sorts of expenses too.
