You answered your own question in the the first sentence. Pancakes are a meal.

I have pancakes most weeks some with orange or lemon juice others savoury with a creamy mushroom filling and salad leaves

We both enjoyed them, having some more tonight, although we didn't have any home made ones to compare them to. I would def recommend them.
