I'm with Omah on this - a very public announcement designed to put her in a good light, but she will make up the shortfall with expenses claims.

Omah - Interesting web site, so even after the 'expenses scandal' they still racked up 26 million in expenses in one year and they still ignored the people and tried to sabotage the UK leaving the EU

Yes, I remember the expenses scandal. Just one of the many things that struck me at the time was what they didn't have to account for was car mileage.

I travelled a lot on business and every single had to have exact recorded mileage for every business trip or it wouldn't get paid. Why didn't MPs?
